Pipe Offset Calculator

Find the travel and run for a piping offset at any fitting angle (45, 22.5, 30, 60 degrees).

How it works

Travel = offset / sin(angle). Run = offset / tan(angle).

Worked example

A 10 in offset with 45-degree fittings: travel = 10 / sin(45) = 14.14 in, run = 10 in.

When to use it

  • Common fitting angles are 45, 22.5, 30, and 60 degrees.
  • Run is how far the line advances along its original direction.
